A Youth‑Led Vision for Authentic Travel

One Day Africa was founded in 2019 by Sipho Sangweni a Soweto-born storyteller, and entrepreneur, to celebrate authentic African experiences through youth-led tourism. Inspired by the streets and stories of his hometown, Orlando West, Soweto Sipho began by leading walking tours that showcased the Culture, History, and resilience of local communities.

Today, One Day Africa curates immersive experiences in Johannesburg and Cape Town, connecting travelers to South Africa’s creative energy, culture, and people. Our work champions youth empowerment in hospitality by training and mentoring young guides to share their stories with the world.

Our vision is simple yet bold to redefine how the world experiences Africa: through its people, its stories, and its cities. By empowering young local guides and promoting responsible, community based travel, we continues to shape a movement rooted in pride, creativity, and connection.
